So yet another MFW15 question for those in the know... I'm just about ready to dump this thing and get another sub. I applied the cap fix 2-3 years ago and it worked wonderfully for a while. Then around nov last year it started sounding off, like it was chuffing occasionally when no bass was playing, albeit quietly. When bass was playing, it sounded quite muddled. I decided to be lazy and not look into it. A few days later, there was a crackling sound from the woofer (sounds like a electrolytic popping and fizzing almost) when no sound was playing. At this point I thought screw it, and let the thing die. Then after another few days, no sound at all. I unplugged it thinking the amp crapped out. I finally got around to pulling out the amp thinking another blow cap, except they all looked fine. After plugging everything back in, it sounded normal again. After a few days, it is making the crackling fizzing noise again. after unplugging it, waiting a day, then plugging it back in, it seems to work for a day or two. Anyone have any idea what this could be?
