  • Onkyo Receiver Users, what setting do you use for music?

I've noticed music on my Onkyo receiver sounds noticeably better when using the surround sens music setting. I've also noticied the highs during music seem recessed when using all channel stereo. I'm wondering if any other Onkyo users have experienced this?

Are other guys using pure audio, stereo, all channel stereo, or surround sens music settings when playing music? I much prefer listening to music on all channel music with five speakers because I feel it is a more enveloping experience.

But it does seem like the highs sound worse on all channel stereo in comparion to stereo mode.
    I came, I saw, I purchased.

Thanks. Listening to music on all channel stereo is addictive. No matter what I know I can never go back to conventional two channel music listening.

I use all channel stereo on my 818. Primarily due to my large area of around 11,000 cubic feet. I've got 9 speakers and it really fills up the space well and sounds great in the process. I have tried a few of the other modes but have always just stuck with all channel.
