  • New Receiver

I am looking for opinions. I currently have an Onkyo 3008. It has been a good receiver but I have heard there have been issues with hdmi boards failing around the 2 year mark. I have been looking at the Denon AVR-4520CI and the Pioneer Elite SC-68.
So I guess my first question is do I just keep my Onkyo and hope I don't have any issues or get rid of it before anything happens?

Would I be giving up much going from Audyssey MultEQ XT32 to Pioneer Advanced MCACC® Room Calibration?

Is there any truth to Audyssey being configured differently for Onkyo and Denon? I haven't been real impressed with it on my Onkyo.

i have an onkyo 805 thats been working fine for several years. If you want to keep the hdmi board in that avr in tip top shape, install a cpu case fan to keep it cool. onkyos all run super hot especially the hdmi board.

I ran a fan. It just seemed like a good excuse to buy a new toy. I had an 805 before the 3008. They are nice receivers. I just wanted to try something else. I ended up with the Denon.
