  • Onix Rocket gloss finish - Help !

I have an Onix Rocket Sub UFW-10 that I use with 760s, and bigfoot RS-200.....that I really like the sound of - but has cosmetic problems on the black high gloss finish on both the top, front edges, and bottom.

The black high gloss has sratches and some "mottling/spotting" grey spots/marks.

I'm not sure of the cause, but cleaning with a wet cloth doesn't do anything.

    Also.....It doesn't look like a manufacturer defect.

Before I tackle this with automotive rubbing/polishing compound and a high speed polisher -----

Does anybody have any suggestions on how to improve the finish back to the high gloss black???

here are some pics of the problems:

You will be amazed what that will look like after a good polishing

You might want to start out with some ultra fine sand paper and then move onto the polisher.

I have cleaned up a bunch of UFW-12's that way.
The finish is pretty thick, but dont get to carried away

      Thanks !

do you also recommend using normal automotive polishing compound?

Or is there something better to use?

I have had very good luck with the good old 3M and Meguires products
