Does anyone have any experience with these: http://www.accessories4less.com/make...specifications

I'm picking up Tom3's X-Amps that aren't voltage sensing or have 12v trigger and needed a surge protector for them and this seemed like a good option, even turns itself off and then back on via remote control. Look pretty nice too.

    Thoughts?

Figured for $30 it was worth it so I took the plunge and got it on order. It'll be cool to see how it works out and its quality. Its a HUGE savings at Accessories4Less vs other sites which made it even that much more attractive. I think a couple people at work may even pick one up too.

It finally arrived today and it looks pretty nice. Shiny white top, good quality (even though its top is plastic and not aluminum). I'll hook it up when I get home today to my X-Amps and see how it really works :applause:

Any issues with it turning off when you have some, but not all components turned on that are plugged into it?

I'm thinking about getting one of these... but my concern is this...

Let's say I have the following plugged in:
Unswitched outlets - DVR, PS3, AVR (needs to be able to draw power for standby passthrough)

Switched outlets - TV, Blu-ray, Subwoofer (set to auto-on), Wii

Now let's say I finished watching a blu-ray, then turned off the player, as well as my AVR. The sub would shut off after several minutes of no signal. Now the only component drawing power is the TV. Would the power strip turn off now?

I suppose could leave the sub set to "on" all the time, but then it's drawing power all the time the TV is on... so that kind of defeats the purpose of "power saving."

I'd say what hell and try it, but shipping isn't free, and if it has some quirks, I have to pay to ship it back and pay AC4L a $15 restocking fee... so it's easier to just not bother.

I ended up returning this bc it wouldn't turn off :( Not enough of a drop in power when my amps where in use vs just sitting there. I even plugged in my Onkyo 805 and even when that got turned off it still wasn't enough of a variance. I'm sure it works in some systems but it completely didn't work in mine. A4Less took it back no problem though.

              Thanks for the update.

I don't think I'm going to mess with it. I am curious about the rack mount Ethereal power manager though...
