Just hooked up an epik legend (dual 12" sealed) in my bedroom setup to replace an eD a2-300.
It sounded way different than the eD. The midbass was MUCH better and made everything sound "fuller" with my 100 hz crossover. So, I tinkered around a bit. I raised the crossover to 120 hz and I liked the sound even better, relieving the rest of the channels of the 100-120 range.
But, it was missing the deep stuff.
So, I hooked up the eD-a2-300 in conjunction with the epik in the other corner of the room and calibrated using a ratshack meter so both the epik and eD sub played at the same level using test tones.
Now, I get the low stuff that I had before plus the benefit of the great midbass.
I'm now very happy with my bedroom setup :applause:
