Rocket RS 850 midrange replacement

Hello,

So I've come to solicit some advice on a blown midrange driver for a Rocket RS 850. It appears it is no longer possible to find an exact replacement driver, so I've been looking at alternative options. The original was a 4" aluminum driver.

Would I be able to install something like this: http://www.parts-express.com/pe/show...number=264-890?

The description says: "Tang Band W4-1805S 4" Neodymium Midrange Driver
This compact driver features a self-shielding neodymium magnet system, flat aluminum sandwich cone, integrated protective screen, truncated frame, and extremely low second and third order distortion. Also, if this turns out to be a suitable replacement, would I have to replace the other midrange drivers as well to keep them tonally similar? Thank you in advance for your input!

I'm actually working on assigning one of our guys to be the central distribution for all Rockets & Reference drivers since I don't really have time to do it.

Oh cool. I think having support for old AV123 products is a great idea. There's so much product out there with no support anymore.

Hey, I remember both of you from the old AV123 forums! That'd be awesome, Hugh, if you're going to have an option for the original drivers. Any idea when that might come into fruition? Or any say on what dropping in another similar midrange would sound like? Thanks again.

Will this include the Rocket 450's too? I have been searching for a driver for a Rocket 450 speaker. All I need is one, I hope you guys can help me out. Where can I find out more?

Also, I can only furnish drivers as pair(s) and not a single one.

Moreover, if you still have your Refs speakers, you'd better hold on to those since the Atohm woofers are not cheap.

For the rocket line I still have available
RS850/1000 5.25" Woofers
SRC200 Bigfoot I still have the 6.5" woofers.
I dont have a lot of either of the woofers left though.

I have the Vifa tweeters for most all of the Rocket and Onix REF line.

Strata Mini's I do have tweeters and also the powered woofers, although the tweeters are in VERY short supply.
