I've been watching the company Red for some time now. They're building some great camera for 4k and 5k recording, and have a new storage and delivery format called Redray, and now this:

The Red Projector is laser based, 4k resolution, supports passive 3D, and is brighter in 3D than most 2D projectors. This is exactly what I've been waiting for. They will be producing a home and pro version of the projector. Now, I know several of you will say that we don't need 4k, and there is no material out yet, but there is upscaling of course, 3D will likely render each eye at 1080P, and the material will come, whether it's from RedRay or some other format.
Anyhow, thought I'd share my excitement. This is cool stuff...
