  • New eD stuff

Looks like they had a meet this past weekend--I couldn't go had to daddysit.

A picture of their upcoming stuff...

Looks like a horn sub in the corner and some 12" drivers on the L/C/R...

Would be interesting to get some and A/B with the SHOs!

          Looks like an Econowave.

I'm so glad these types of speakers are getting more popular!

I think its a great idea - even if it is an ecconowave few people can really make an econowave for much less than the price once you figure in tppls, finish and most important time plus making a crossover is something few of us can do.

Not a real competitor to CHT yet though as the sho/pro's get more refined as a 3rd gen product

Different strokes help all folks get the best for them!

Yeah, after the GTG, I want to start learning more about the different waveguides and such. Looks like a 90x60 dispersion maybe on those? Picture is hard to tell.

They will still be more $$$ than a SHO-10, but I'm glad the smaller guys are thinking about offering more pro sounds now.

I've read this thread and the one on AVS about ED vs CHT. Where are you getting the details on these things, pricing etc. I looked on the ED site and boards and found nada. I must be getting slow.:)

On the eD board in the home audio forum. I don't think anything is listed yet.

After looking at the design more, I'm wondering if they are really using a 12" sub driver or something else.

I think the SHO-10 will still be the winner here, but nice to see others venturing more into waveguide designs for HT use.

                        So true!

EDIT: I see FPB is up to his tricks.

That proves the worth of the design. :D

FPB is once again a top poster in a CHT thread. Maybe one day he will get some Chase 18" subs and kick the ButtKickers he is using to the curb.

I'd even be happy if he would shut his trap and buy eD. He is always "interested" in something but "waiting" for the pro review.

Thank goodness ED is not copying the Sho 10's with powered monitors. The amps would go bad in a few weeks.
                              I came, I saw, I purchased.
