I'm helping a friend search for a dock extension cable for the iPad 2. He's looking to get a desktop speaker system for the iPad 2, but I am thinking that they are not widely available right now, while ones for the iPod/Phone are abundant. And with the size of the iPad 2, docking it on one of those speakers looks like an accident waiting to happen.
I usually just check with Monoprice for a cheap solution, but they have none (or at least my search yielded none). Amazon listed a few, but some of the reviews are not very good, or the damn cable cost too high (e.g., > $15). With about $100 already spent for taxes, cases, and screen protectors, I'm not looking to spend too much more.
So without having to wonder if a cable would work for the iPad 2 or not (Apple is notorious for making slight changes to sell more), can someone recommend an extension cable that is iPad2-compatible (support the 10 W charging, synching, audio control, and other iPad 2 normal functionality).
