  • New metal grills on my ELT525s thanks to LoudandClear

Hi all, I believe this is my first post here, I came over here as it was suggested that many AV123 folks are now over here, as their forum is closed again for who knows how long. I registered here awhile back but I do not remember if I ever posted any or not, anyhow.....

I bought some X-Statiks and an X-Voce awhile back, sold my ELT525 monitors and center and moved the towers to surround duty.
I wanted them to match a little better so I had LoudandClear make some metal grills for them. He did a great job, thanks LoudandClear!
I may have him make me some grills for my SubMersive too then all my speakers will have metal grills. :smoke1:

    the first 2 are overexposed..,

You can barely see that picture, but yes it is a waterfall and I purchased it. :)

Oh and Mike even put a slight bend in the grills to match the X-Statik grills and the grills are magnetic, he gave me some metal inserts to put in the old grill holes to make em work. :)

They look pretty good if I must say so myself. Just arrived home from a long vacation so I didn't see this thread until now. Let me know about your Submersive if you want a grill for it. I'll be ready to make more grills in a few weeks. Need to rest up from Vacation.... isn't it suppose to be the other way around! :dizzy:

Nice metal grills on the Strata's, as well as those on OP's 525's.

Now my mind is running crazy with the possibilities of custom metal grills on some of my speakers.:dizzy:

                  Great collection of guitars too!:clapper:

the worst room EVAR for those great speakers, but She Who Must Be Obeyed allows me only one room for toys, so...

Thanks. I notice you don't have a quote for the Ref 100. I assume it'd be close to the Bigfoot price, since it's another large center channel speaker. Do you need measurements for the Ref 100? Also, are you still doing that option where people can choose curved or flat grills?

Yes, the ref 100 would probably be same $$ as bigfoot if it's around the same size. I would need accurate dimensions of the OEM grill to make one. Grills can be made with a curve in them if desired also.
