I'd switch receivers and use the HK on the rockets and the Onkyo on the ELTs, and listen for yourself. The room is a factor as well, so I wouldn't attribute liking one speaker better than another to a receiver without testing it out. If you don't notice much of a difference with the receiver swap, you could put the ELT's where the front rockets are and listen to them there. Basically, the receivers probably don't sound nearly as much different as do the room acoustics and the speakers themselves.
You're right. I should've done that before I posted here. The ELTs are in a desktop setup, the Rockets in my living room. I'll give it a try and post back.

Are the ELTs in a 2 channel music set up, or is it more of an HT thing? If you don't need the processing of the avr I'd suggest looking at an integrated amp for the ELTs.

So...I've posted before that I own an Onkyo TX-SR876 and a Harman Kardon AVR-247. The Onkyo is powering a set of Rocket 5.0s and an MFW-15, and they will soon be powering another pair of speakers (Tekton Audio, maybe?) in zone 2. The AVR-247 is currently powering my ELT525M's.
I really like the sound that the ELT525Ms are giving me right now - possibly more than I like the sound that the Rockets are giving me (is that weird?). To me the ELT525Ms are just more lush, even though there's no sub. Would it be right to attribute the warm lush sound to the HK receiver?
If so, would selling the TX-SR876 be a good idea and getting the AVR-354? I won't really miss the superior video upscaling, or the second HDMI output, since I don't use either of them. Any other significant feature I'd be losing? Would you guys do it, if you were in the same boat I was in?
