Cheapest receiver with video processing and HD codecs?

I am looking for the cheapest receiver that is capable of processing component signals to hdmi and handles the latest codecs. The ones I can think of are the Onkyo 605/606/607 series and the Yamaha 663/665. Are there any that are availabe for cheaper?

Does the HK AVR-254 turn component to 1080p? If so, people have won them in the Harman Outlet auctions for about $200-$250.

Dweekie, I have been looking for the same. I am pretty sure one of the cheapest models that can do what you want is:

1. Onkyo 605,606
2. Sony STRDH800

I know you can pick up the Onkyos as refurbs for a couple hundred. You may want to verify the video processing on both models though.
