  • Just when you think you have seen it all ...

From clever clocks to squiggly sticks, I had thought I had seen it all. I thought I could no longer be amazed at the audacity of yet another fraud artist. I was wrong. May I present ...

Roskhilde Audio, a high-end Danish company of some notoriety in the audiophile circles has come out with a new invention that is sure to bring about some excitement and controversy amongst naysayers

I figure I can DIY some plastic cups and my daughter's headband and save enough for some electronic gear. :biglaugh:

This is one of those products that won't die...

    Hi Chessman,

I posted about a similar product a couple of months ago at Audio Circle because I was trying to find someone who remembered the original name of these when they were first introduced in the late 70's or 80's. Go to link below to see responses.

Audiohololics did post their review on April 1st to get a laugh. Who would pay $1999 and be happy with only a 5 year warranty...really! lol

Audio people can be very gullible...

There's actually a funny typo in a quote from it:

My highlight....but it is rather humurous, given the nature of this beast. And maybe it's NOT a typo! :assshake:

This DOES remind me of some ears that Sam Tellig once wrote about eons ago. Same concept, not as "scientifically derived" perhaps. And they actually looked like two big ears! They had a funny pic of him wearing them, looked like joke clown ears.

[EDIT: the second link referenced them too...."Serious Listeners" - loved it!]
What if the Hokey-Pokey really IS what it's all about?!

        Kinky Tom!

Funny...this ranks up there when Tellig did an article about some sort of "magic pen" you used to put some green magic marker stuff around the edges of CDs that purportedly made them sound better.

I actually bought into it and convinced myself that I indeed heard a difference.

A decade+ later, I dug those old green rimmed CDs out and played them again. Ummmmm.....no sound difference at all.

I think Sam may have called them "Audiophile Ears" I have that issue somewhere here in the endless Pack-rat stacks.

Next time you listen at a comfy volume cup your hands behind your ears, move adjust and change the shape/tilt, it's very revealing.

Helps identify room reflection vs direct loudspeaker sound too.
