This is my newest project...These are going to use a Da175 Dayton 7" driver and a Hivi K1 tweet...Sem shows bass down 3 at 45hz..The box is built with 3/4 mdf..The back uses 1.5 inches. The sides use 3/4 mdf with 3/4 Oak panels chamfered. The front, top, bottom and back have a Khaki color paint..I am in the process of finishing now..I am hoping for a flawless high gloss finish..about five more coats and Im there...more to come .....

Kind of a mute point now but the center strip would have look good veneered to match the sides. Thinking black may look better than khaki as the khaki will blend in too much with the oak. Though the khaki would work well too. Better than hot pink for sure.

Good job on the routing and getting the oak nice and smooth. You got a lot of spongey wood there and it looks good.

Don't forget to line the inside of the cabinet with some No Rez.

What kind of network do you plan on building?

This is a design from a fellow on the pe teck board...The only problem I can see is the BSC..The box should be 9" wide..With the oak side panels it comes out a little more...

Sorry it took so long.I've been at the coast for the last week. The cabinet starts out at 9'' then tapers back at a 45 degree angle about 3/4 of an inch.At that point it is 1.5 inches wider....Thank you for any help...

So the front is the same width that the network was designed for?

Why did you select these particular drivers for a diy project?
