Which product in your home theater system gives you the most bang for the buck? I am not necessarily interested in a piece of high-end equipment with an equally-high purchase price. Rather, I am asking you to identify the product that has provided you with the best value proposition--high quality, relative to reasonable cost, of the product.

Honestly, I'm gonna say my little Satin Black X-LS Encores. They are truly steller speakers for what used to be a rediculously good price ($300). I use them every day in my bedroom and they constantly floor me with their detail and resolution for the price.Comment

Originally posted by DavidJamesFor me it's the sub but honestly, it will vary depending on what you currently have.
Generally, I itemized most of my equipment in another thread as follows:
Originally posted by GOSUI have been thinking about replacing my Sherbourn 7010 processor with a new home theater processor that has the latest HD audio/video, HDMI switching and room correction features (Audyssey/Trinnov). I am looking for a processor that would be as close to “future proof†for the next five years as is available. I would pair the processor with my Sherbourn 7/2100 amp and Rocket 850s, 250s and a Bigfoot, as well as a JL Fathom 113 sub (and a non-working Rocket UFW-12 sub if I ever receive the repair). I also have a P-1 and P-3 with SOCS. I use a Denon 2910 for CDs and a PS3 for DVDs and Bluerays.Comment

My home theater is in my family room so WAF restricts my ability to do room treatments.
The second thing for me was going from a 45" rear projection to a 96" 480P front projector. I just installed a 720P projector and while it's a nice improvement, it's incremental and behind the move from "small" to "large" screen size.Comment

My vote is your center channel. Assuming HT, so much of your information comes from this one place that it's worth spending extra money here...LCR: Gedlee Abbeys for LR and Nathan for Center Surround & rear 4 x Sho10's
Subs: 4 x 18.2
Electronics: Marantz SR7002, Acurus 200x3 (LCR), PS3, HTPC, CDP300, Mits HC1500, Elite Peregrine 2.35 156" Acousticpro4kComment

It's a toss up between the PS3 (it does a lot of cool stuff :applause:) and the Ultra-13. For jaw dropping bang for the buck, probably the PB13.Comment

1. ED a2-300 $300 shipped on sale
2. X-sls palisander $330 shipped bstock
I guess my XLS stand out the most...as I am in love with them (still want/need to Ninja them though) B Stock, MNS Snowmen L/C/R*** for $333 shipped...
Next I guess would be my HK AVR 240 - refurb from Harmon Store $185 shipped...
And seeing as how my Sony sub is 8+ yrs old and there was a huge improvement when I polyfilled it about a year ago, $85 - it does a nice job... :huge:
I'm anxious about getting 2 channel going...
almost wanna find some ELTs and Ninja them, but holding out to see what I think of WAFs....
***Edit: Need to add, that having 3 identical across the front is a very noticeable "upgrade" too...Comment
