  • Any adult Rock Band fans?

Me (35) and the wife (39) love this game. We bought it right after Christmas as a present for ourselves and have played it just about every night. I now have the ION drums and the wife has the Fender Precision Bass. Any other grown up Rock Band fans here?

When the first Rock Band came out, my friends and I were all over it.

Hours upon hours of Rock Band followed.

However, I think we burned ourselves out. I never played the second incarnation because I had gotten so sick of the 1st one.

It was amazingly fun while it all lasted though.

My wifes nephew got one for Christmas and brought over Rock Band2 for the family to play. Had a blast. Got our Xbox360 and Rock Band2 the next day. Ended up getting the original and Guitar Hero World Tour to get all the songs we like.

We played with my nephews for hours last weekend. Lots of fun.

It is getting that generation interested in music of different eras. That is a good thing to me.

Alot of folks seem to be getting interested in real musical instruments from this. Was at Guitar Center this weekend and they had a wall of Guitar Hero World Tour for sale!

Yeah, I should have specified RB2 in the thread title, but I imported all the RB1 songs into it, too. We've had some friends over playing it, and ended up stayed up waaaay late playing it. It's the most fun I've had with a video game in years.

I am, 26 here. I have Rock Band 1 and GH3, haven't bought GH2 or RB4 yet. I'm very good at guitar/bass, okay on vocals, and pretty bad on drums.

Played RB1, broke a pedal, smashed a drum pad, broke both guitars, fixed drums and guitars, broke and fixed guitars a few more times, got RB2, broke 2 drum pads, broke the pedal, broke (and fixed) both guitars multiple times, fixed the pedal (with metal), and rebroke it.

My friends and I had tons of fun the times we didn't have issues with the instruments.

Surprisingly, the guitar I got for the Wii GH3 still works...

Me and my friend from work play Rock Band quite a bit. I have a few videos up on Youtube, actually. I'm on drums, my friend is crazy on guitar:

There are 3 RS1Ks and 4 MFW15's behind that screen, BTW :D I still need to paint the room, do acoustic treatments, and finish the screen though.

Awesome vid, dude. That's gonna be a killer room. Aren't those IONs sweet? I got those and the Rock Pedal, and I swear by just adding the pedal, my scores went way up. I now play about 50/50 on hard/expert.

Isn't that the truth! We played that thing for tons of hours, then kind of got burnt out on it. We still got Rock Band 2 when it came out. It has some awesome songs (Testament, Judas Priest and old Metallica for instance), but it's pretty much the same as the original Rock Band, and we got burnt out really fast.

The adults in my family play more than the kids.

We started with guitar hero 3 ... about a year later I got Rockband 1 followed shortly by Rockband 2 and GHWT.

We don't play every night .. 2-3 times a week. The whole family plays together occasionally too ... lots of fun.

Also a very fun game when you have friends over.

Houston, we have a problem. Just got the last flat panel installed for the living room and moved out the trusty 51" CRT. It's a 52" Bravia, and the game lag on this thing is terrible. I can't get the drums right no matter what settings I use. This thing may be going back. It's that bad.

Ah yes. RockBand. Love the game. The kids and I jam out on it all the time. Gone through the never ending set list 2 once so far on medium. The middle boy and I are about ready to try it on hard within the next week or so.

Have you tried playing with the calibration in the settings menu? usually fixes it after a few tries.

If you regularly go to work and pay bills, I'd say yes.
