Any other fans of the show here? I just got done watching an episode I had on the ol' DVR, and I must say there are few shows that make me laugh as hard as Top Gear. I think the excitement of all the amazing cars they have on there puts me in a giddy mood.

My wife even loves the show, we watch it every Monday night around our place.

LOVE the show! There is no other car show like it. No one has the cars, the cinematography, the humor. It really is a fantastic show. I watch it as often as I can and they add new episodes to Comcast On Demand on a decently regular basis.

I just recently rediscovered it - didn't know it was broadcast on my cable provider. Watched the episode last night where they compete against the hosts from the German version of the show. I couldn't stop laughing during the double decker race when Jeremy Clarkson's copilot's prosthetic arm came off but was stuck to the steering wheel while he was turning it. The race at the end between the porsche and the aston was pretty badass too.

The last one I watched pitted the Pagani Zonda ZF (I think) vs. the Bugatti Veyron. The Veyron was faster in a straight line by a long shot, but the Pagani was faster around their track. Seriously, what other show is going to have $2 million worth of cars (in just two cars not twenty) to trash around a track and beat on? None!

Agreed. I saw that one too - the Zonda may be faster around that track but I still want that Veyron!! It has a freaking air brake! How cool is that?? :sly:

Haha, it's funny you mention that b/c my wife was watching that episode with me and was making fun of the spoiler and how stupid it was until I told her what it did ... then she thought it was cool (although still dumb looking ) Haha!

I like the show but only catch it every once in awhile. My fav was the one where they came to the U.S. to hit "speed week" at the salt flats. They had a 'vette, and a couple of other muscle cars I can't remember. Funny!

They just got into hot water, too. Tesla (electric sports car) testing showed them pushing it into the garage saying it was broke. Ended up, it was something minor that wouldn't have required them to push it, but tried to make it look more serious than it was.

Tesla got pissed and I think eventually got an apology from Top Gear.
About a pubic hair away from being banned!

                    Thats a great show!

My favorite episode is when they tested the Aerial Atom. That car is crazy fast...Jeremy's face was hilarious!

Love that show. It's the reason I bought my V70 R-- They did not like it. But the review made me like the car. They could not get past a Volvo wagon could got 158 mph and out slalom a stock vette. Fun car... The fact they panned it is a badge of honor with R owners.

I have seen a handful of episodes and loved it. It was on Discovery or TLC for a short time. Wish I carried the channel it is on now but I don't. Fun show though!

For a long time, I didn't have it either. But my current cable provider (surprisingly) carries BBC. Didn't realize how much I missed the show until I started watching it again. Watching it makes me more anxious to get a new car. Sell motorcycle, sell!
