What is up with the reputation green squares next to everyone and why am I on a distinguished road when it's obvious that I'm a bitter prick only here to piss people off?

There is an icon beneath each poster's name (with the report post icon) which looks like the scales of justice, You can click on that to evaluate that given post and add to, or detract from, a poster's reputation.
