  • Thank You - Which Means It Is Time To Give Something Back

Hi everyone - and Merry Christmas / Seasons Greetings to all!

Chase Home Theater, thanks to you, had a good year in 2011. We learned a lot. We grew over 2010. We learned to have more fun with this company. Overall, 2011 was everything we could have asked for!

So ... it is time to give something back.

Two of our favorite organizations are Feed America (formerly known as Second Harvest Food Bank) and The Wounded Warriors Project.

    Why We Love Feed America:

You can find Feed America here: Feed America website.

Feed America is an exceptionally efficient organization which delivers food to the needy year around.

They are able to deliver, on average, 8 meals for every dollar raised.

Chase Home Theater is (again, thanks to you) sending Feed America $4000, which means 32,000 meals for those in need.

Why We Love The Wounded Warriors Project:

You can find the Wounded Warriors Project here: Wounded Warriors Project Website

Wounded Warriors helps our returning vets in a number of ways, from physical rehab to job training.

These warriors have sacrificed so much, often to find themselves in almost impossible conditions when they return home.

Words to express how sad it makes us feel when we see the struggles these men and women face are hard to think of, so please forgive my lack of eloquence.

We can only hope the $4000 that CHT is blessed enough to send to their aid is a small way to say thank you to our men and women warriors in their time of need.

Thank you again to everyone here. Merry Christmas from the CHT team!

Yes, speaking as a Vietnam veteran and a hungry human being (must be time for lunch ;)), these are two very worthy charities. Bravo, Craig. :applause:

                      Happy to see this.

Both charities receive good scores on Charity Navigator.

Very cool, way to go Craig & Co.! Both of these charities are favorites of mine as well.

For anyone interested in the Wounded Warrior Project, I highly recommend checking out www.toughmudder.com. It is a 10-12 mile obstacle race developed with input from the British Special Forces, and they are big supporters of the Wounded Warrior Project. They've been around for 2 years and have already raised nearly $2.5 million for the charity. Possibly the coolest thing is the number of wounded warriors that actually participate in the event. I recently completed one in Tampa and there was a man in a wheelchair that was paralyzed from the waist down that, together with his team, completed the entire 12 miles and 25+ obstacles. Needless to say, it was both humbling and incredibly inspiring to be on the course at the same time as this man and his team. Even if you're not interested in pushing yourself to participate in the event, you can go as a spectator and a part of your fee goes towards the WWP.

Sorry Craig, that turned into a bit of an unintentional threadjack. I get a bit excited talking about Tough Mudder & the WWP. Congrats on the great year and cheers to continued success in 2012!

I'm inspired. Looks like one is coming soon to the omaha area.

Watching the video...the 4 basketball pushups, the olympic rings, and then the last minute scared me with this guys hand to hand combat effectiveness. Intensity.

Don't worry, you don't have to be that intense to finish. Keep in mind it's a team based event & everyone helps each other through the obstacles, so as long as you can run 12 miles and are in good enough shape to pull yourself up over walls with some help, you'll be fine. It's a great time!
