  • No Hdmi for OSD

I just bought a new Onkyo receiver. After reading the manual it states the OSD can only be displayed using Hdmi. Problem for me since the TV I use is old and used just for OSD with no Hdmi's, it only has RCA connections. Is there some sort of switch I can use to convert Hdmi to composite?

Composite video is formatted differently from component and HDMI (YUV vs YPbPr). I don't really understand what all that means, but I think the bottom line is that a powered smart device (some kind of converter) would be required. I think Amazon can help you find something for about $50, but I say it's time to upgrade! Of course, inconvenient as it is, the OSD is likely not required for any of the functions.

Thanks. Looks exactly what I need. Yea I should upgrade the TV, but this system is only used for music I have the big TV connected to the HT system.
