  • How can I prevent deletion?

Hey guys. I think I'm doing this wrong. I keep getting my threads deleted and I'm not sure why.

    Advice will be appreciated.

That was one of the threads that has been deleted. Not sure how that thread was political since both political sides have believers and non believers.

And I stated that it wasn't a politically charged post.

Never thought of that. I'll have to add another layer to my tin foil hat ;) :biglaugh:

That one was probably my fault. I tried to objectively explain the scientific issues, but people don't like that anymore.
You should at least get a courtesy email, it is disconcerting when threads disappear.

Receiving an answer why doesn't happen here. I've had far too many threads deleted. It's starting to get old. I don't think I'm the only one who feels that way.

Ok guys, enough whining. I have only mentioned for three plus years now that linking to political sites is not permitted. You want to talk about stuff "getting old" ? Try explaining the same thing over and over again for over three years and see what happens.

Did you REALLY think a discussion about global warming would not turn political?

Come on guys, talk pro or college sports, girls, speakers, cars, trucks, fishing, golf, hiking, etc ...

But for the sake of all that is holy ... PLEASE NO MORE POLITICAL THREADS.

Also note, this thread is still here. :biglaugh:

Craig, that thread followed all your guidelines.

It was not linked to a "political" site. The Guardian is a well respected news agency.

I also followed your guideline in regards to stating something isn't political, so therefore it's not. Just like your "What concerns me the most about economics" thread. http://www.chasehometheater.com/foru...ead.php?t=4260

Threads get deleted here instead of locked. That's not right. We already went through that somewhere else.

Persisting 1 ... The Guardian is well respected by YOU. It is considered by others to be political. It's that simple. There are political sites for discussing politics. Try The Huffington Post if you want liberal, or Red State if you want conservative.

                          No more political links here.

                          Period.

Let me start this by saying :) and :D.

Having said that I have to say I have no idea what we can talk about or link to. Economics is ok and not political because you said so but the Guardian or Barron's is political and bad because you say so:confused:. We cannot discuss global warming but we have a whole section on The Constitution:confused:...

Just to be clear on what you mean by "political" links. All news sites? Can I link to NPR tiny desk concerts? A study on subwoofer related deafness at the WSJ? Breast implants at CNN.com?
