It certainly is. Pretty weird actually as hockey is about the only thing a Canadian will riot about:confused:.

This is a good photo though:

I think the vast majority of us know those involved are NOT representative of Vancouver citizens or Canadian citizens. Unfortunately, every country has a small minority of idiots and fools.

This was not a case of a bunch of hockey fans getting angry over a game. Many of the worst rioters (those tossing chemical "bombs") had brought surgical masks along, knowing ahead of time that this civil unrest was the goal. It is likely this would have occured had Vancouver won, too.

This was not normal Canadians having a tantrum. This was a planned event by worthless societal dregs.

            Canadians are a great people.

I cannot disagree with this sentiment. :D

I hear that the average American is a pretty decent Joe, too... ;)

Yeah, I was bored at work, and figured you guys would have opinions.

                Oh Canada.

My wife and I got married in Quebec City, many moons ago, and I consider us to be honorary Canadians. I think it is a great place and I wouldn't mind living there.

That said, I think the rioters were scumbags and should have learned what it feels like to get hit with rubber bullets. They gave Canada an underserved bad rep.

Imagine if the US hockey team would have won back during the Olympics!

Didn't they erupt in a big riot during a Metallica/Guns n Roses show years ago? Seems like that's where it was anyway. Metallica's singer got to close to the pyro's which cancelled their set only to be followed up with Axel Rose throwing a fit and walking off the stage.

                          Nothing new here...move along:D

Yeah, can happen anywhere, wasn't really saying Canadians were anything bad.

Was in Vancouver 2 winters ago, visited a few brewerys and went up and stayed at Whistler for a night. The skiing was icy, but the views were amazing. Mountains rising out of oceans...don't see that much anywhere else.

Apparently once it starts a lot of ordinary folks start doing stuff they would never do otherwise. I kind of like this pic. His mom must be proud:doh! 1: This guy may have turned himself in to the police. I would :):
