  • Jeremy gets sent on the Road with Egypt Central?

Ok guys, I thought I would write a little post to let you know why I have been on here a little less in the last few days.

With about a week's notice, my bands label informed us that they would be putting us on the road for a few weeks opening for national recording artists "Egypt Central". Craig and the crew were nice enough to allow me to take advantage of this amazing opportunity and still try to continue what I do with you guys. As I type this, I am sitting outside a garage in Emporia VA.

The trip so far since Saturday has been good and bad. We played a couple of great shows in Ocean City MD, but I had to do it with a 104 degree temp and Strep Throat, which landed me a visit to the ER. I'm doing much better now!

The saga continues as this is my second garage stop to get our van repaired. Right now they are racing to get us running so that we can arrive at our show in Augusta GA on time.

    So fingers crossed!

I will be on and off of here throughout the trip, so if I don't respond to messages right away, you will still probably hear from me within 24 hours.

If you want to keep updated on the band: check us out at facebook.com/candlelightred !

    More in a bit guys!!!

Congrats on the tour gig, bummer about the strep-throat, and I hope you make it to your next show on time!

        Van is rolling! Woohoo.

BTW, if anyone is interested... we will be going head to head on "choose it or lose it" against Breaking Benjamin on a station in Columbus OH TONIGHT... Any votes would be much, much appreciated!

The Blitz is in my neck of the woods. Congrats on winning last night! I'll be sure to vote for you guys.

A good friend of mine is in a band called Overtheory that is getting played on the blitz's local music segment some now. I recorded some of their tracks for them so I feel like it's my baby on the radio.

Thanks for all the words of confidence and support guys.

We missed the first show of the tour, but things painfully are getting ironed out.

We got up this morning and checked out of our hotel. With the van's radiator patched up. We got the green light to trade the van in on a newer more reliable model.

So I spent the afternoon haggling with local dealers and at 5:00 eventually ended up in raliegh. We found the perfect 2002 w low mileage and within an hour we are were our way!

Feeling pretty good about ourselves, an hr down the road we blew out a trailer tire limping to a gas station. As luck would have it, a gentleman from 'blacks tire" was getting gas. Wayne had us going with two brand new trailer tires in about an hr!

What a day! The good news is that we won a second night on "choose it or lose it" on the blitz radio. And we take on the new single from social distortion tomorrow night.

We are approaching our hotel in Charleston sc for the night, but I will be checking the forum before bed if any of you fellas are still up!

Wow, what a run of bad luck, Jeremy. I have owned many full sized vans, FYI, Dodge treats you the best on gas and maintenance. At least you guys are SMASHING the competition. Did my single vote sway the results that much? :D

                        - Leaving Eden - Haunting - 4.3%

When are you guys coming to the Midwest? I know Ohio says they are Midwest, but east of the Mississippi doesn't count!

                          We got a Chevy express 2002. It's a beast!

Thanks for the voting! We dominated the internet and text votes but phones were behind. I figured out you have to dial the 614 number not the 800 one to vote. Tonight we take on the new Social Distortion.

We are debating whether or not to follow EC all the way out to CO. If that happens we may go through NE.

That would be sweet. How large of venues would/are you playing in?
