They probably needed to relaunch something. I don't know how their market share is, but with xbox360 kinect people have even more reason to get rid of or not buy a wii.

I think they are more of a trendy pick up for people-and/or only a large group or family buy/use console.....not used by "true gamers".

I know a lot of people who have them and don't use them-those are mostly the young and married with kids <5 y old though.
