Two WAF-1s in front and a PRO-10 for center speaker?

Common sense tells me that this would be a incredibly stupid idea, but hey, you never know.

They're going to be completely not voice matched and the WAF-1's are going to run out of steam WAY before the PRO-10. Better to do all matching PRO-10's but I'm guessing you already have the WAF-1's and are looking for a use for them??

Can you try using them as heights/wides/rear surrounds?

To answer your and skeeter's Q, this is my current situation:

1.I would rather not buy 3 PRO-10s because I do not want to shelve out 1000+ dollars on speakers. I'm a college kid.

2.I have 2 WAF-1's in the front, 2 NHT Superzeros in the rear and I only need one more speaker for center channel.

        3.I would buy 2 WAF-3s but I'm really not into 6.1/7.1. I would rather have a stronger 5.1 setup than a weaker 7.1

        4. Cant buy a single WAF-3 :( They only come in pairs as you may already know.

My biggest mistake was buying the NHT speakers. Not because they aren't good, but it would have easier to buy 3 WAF-3 in the first place.

See if you can beg Craig for some scratch and dent PRO-10s - worked for me, but maybe I just got lucky on timing.

Are those the ones with dents in the packaging thus a markdown in price?

Put up a want add for a WAF-1, maybe someone else wants to split for center channel use. The WAF-1 really is a great speaker for the price.
