    Hey guys,

I tend to be the resident "audio guy" amongst family and friends whenever they are thinking about buying anything home theater related. I recently had a friend ask me for recommendations for his uncle, but I must admit I have been a bit too busy to keep up with the popular options these days.

He's looking for the front three speakers, and it sounds like he's set on getting towers for left and right and a dedicated center. His budget is $600-$800, which limits his options substantially.

I'm going to try to see if I can sway him to check out 3 SHOs, but am also looking for other options that may strike his fancy. Any suggestions?

Are you talking about putting the 4 SHOs at 4 corners in that configuration? (help me I'm lost)

I haven't heard these, but django put up a thread about them recently and they look like attractive speakers at the price point you are trying to hit.

Newegg has a deal on the Klipsch Synergy F-30 speakers (dual 8 inch woofers, Tactrix horn tweeter). Buy 1 get 1 for $499

You can either buy another F-30 or the matching center and be on budget.
