  • It's a Marshmallow World

When I saw this storm track, I figured they had called this one right. Every time things move north east through Huntsville, Chattanooga then we're usually gonna get it.

Looks like we got about 3 ~ inches here so far a while it's not really that unusual it certainly makes driving a bit challenging in the foothills. I'm sure there are lots of excited children further south that don't normally see this.

We are going to have to change that moniker of the "great white north". We haven't had any snow of note since before Christmas. And we are just having entry level cold and sunshine... You guys down south seem to be getting all the luck. I couldn't live without snow...

We don't usually get much snow, but the past ocuple years have been high for us. 3-5" predicted for here tomorrow.

It always seems to come on Tuesdays as well. 4 days of the week, I have a 3-mile commute, but on Tuesdays I drive 40 miles. Looks like a looong time in the car tomorrow.

        Kevin,

        Where are you at?

Today sucked. My wife of course gets (rightly so) the SUV, and I was stuck with one of the cars.

Uphill battle in downtown Omaha..not fun!:whew:

Man, Omaha is so damn hilly, being in a river valley. No fun at all when it is slick out.

Seriously though, it doesn't snow in the Midwest like it used to, and people sensationalize it more nowadays. I cannot believe they closed schools around here for two days just for less than a foot of snowfall.

I woke up and shoveled my 60 ft. driveway so I could go to work today. My street was unplowed. My lil Chevy Cavalier ****box work car made it to the highway and into work with no problems. School dismissed... LOL! :raspberry:

Our honda accord is the worst car made when it comes to snow. Otherwise, I love the thing. My snow car is a Mitsubishi Diamante. When it sees snow it goes into BEAST mode. Other than icy uphill drives from a standstill.

I don't like the traction control on cars nowadays for the most part.

We're in Columbus, OH area. Luckily, the snow held off until after the morning commute.

My wife drives an SUV, but my RSX with winter tires does an admirable job in the snow, as long as it's not higher than the bumper!

I lived in Upper Sandusky, Ohio during the Great Blizzard of 1978. We had over 3 ft of snow, 50-70 mph winds, and -60 windchill. I lived a few miles out of town and I think we were snowed in for a week.
