BTW, tickets are now going for around $4,000, EACH. Ole Mikey ain't that stupid. I will watch the game at home on my 100" HD screen with my AU daughters and son.
Even though a staunch rival, I have to pull for AU as an SEC team against all outside conferences. Take it to 'em Tigers. I love the idea of consecutive Alabama teams as National Champs. Sorry Mike, my wife's a Bama fan.
I thought about going, but it would cost me about $15K to take my family. I have some friends who are there now, but I am just too practical to spend that kind of dough on a football game. Besides, I have a 100" HD projector with a good surround system.
Friday, after lunch, I heard about the snow and ice headed our way. I got up from a meeting, and said, screw that, I am going right now to buy a portable generator. I headed out the door and bought a Honda generator. It is not a big one, but it will power the electronics in my HT room. Bring it on...I'm set.
I'm really enjoying my own furniture, tv, food, restroom...best seats in town without a doubt.
Games are fun occasionally. I try to take my girls to one a year in Athens. I'd like to catch the UGA-Vandy game in Nashville one year to save on several accounts.
