I would agree that it seemed pretty home influenced, but that is a fact of life in college football. I am sure in the grand scheme of things these type of games even themselves out over time. I would say the most concerning thing I saw in that game was Pelini seems to have a real problem with his temper. This seems to be a reoccurring issue with him and I think he came off as a real jerk. I wouldn't be surprised if his tirades early at the refs didn't do him any favors in the long haul. There is intensity and then there is stupidity.
Sorry about your Huskers losing though. My best friend is a die hard Husker fan and he is pretty upset. On the plus side, at least you guys won't have to play Texas teams next year.
But why are we talking football when BBall has started? :'cordian::greenie::drumplay1:
Probably because Nebraska can't recruit ANY point guards and you guys are going to wax us by 30. :)
Yeah, Pelini was a little volcano last night; I'm surprised he didn't say anything to the media. It is weird in the moment he looks like someone you really wouldn't want yelling at you, but then he doesn't explain himself to the media or discuss the play calling. I mean what is a fine to Nebraska from the Big 12?
I really hope Kansas can find a way out of the Big 12. That conference isn't long for this world.

I am actually pretty excited about the Big 12. I love the idea of playing everybody again and have always missed the Big 8. As a hoops fan, we are losing two of the biggest anchors in our conference, so it will definitely improve us as a basketball conference. I honestly think it will improve us as a football conference (definitely dumping the lowly rated Buffs and the "coveted" indifferent Denver market) but only time will tell.
At the same time, I think this is a great move for Colorado, who never liked being in the Big 12 or Big 8 and I think it is a good move for Nebraska because I think they can immediately compete for the Big 10 title and find a somewhat easier path (ie No Texas) to the BCS national title game. I honestly think the future of college sports is going to be set up like the Big 12, with everybody earning their keep but I suspect you are right that there is going to be some major, money driven changes messing up conference structure for years to come.
The sad thing is that I honestly don't want to be in any other conference, and I would rather stick with this one even if Texas left and it was sinking. These are the teams I enjoy watching us play against, but I am sure it won't be that way much longer as evident by Nebraska. As I Jayhawk I blame all of this on Mizzou looking for the first invite out of here because they are a bunch of traitors, but that much should be expected. :fryingpan:
