My answer is Panasonic. We have a single line with 4 extensions at home, and I have a 2-line with 2 extensions at work. Both have performed well for several years.

We've been using a Uniden PowerMax system for years. Originally came with the base and 2 handsets, I added 3 more via ebay (I think it can take 10 total). I imagine the technology has been updated since this came out, but we've never had a single problem with this system on either land line or VOIP.
Its Bluetooth also, so it syncs with your cell phones phone book, and you can answer your cell calls on your home phone.....
