  • Pet music preference?

Any of you out there have pets that like only certain types of music?

We've had a cat or two at all times over the years.

Some of them have been indifferent about music, while some sit and listen intently, and even purr sometimes.

Some liked jazz, some liked classical, etc...

One big tom really liked loud rock 'n roll with lots of bass.

He used to lay right againt some big floorstanders with dual 12" woofers and enjoy the vibration and blowing fur .. lol
 Long live draft beer and good old rock 'n roll :grinning:

I've noticed that the birds outside seem to sing more when I have music on in the house (with the windows open)...

I've had a few cats over the years. Can't say any have had a positive preference, but one of them used to quickly leave the room whenever I played Einsturzende Neubauten :snaggletooth:
What if the Hokey-Pokey really IS what it's all about?!

      Kinky Tom!

One of my cats likes jazz, especially Miles Davis.

Both of my cats hate hip hop.

I'm with them on the second one.

Our rabbits like watching sports. Go up to the top level of their cage to watch at times. For music, they don't seem to care, but they hate it when we watch action flicks. They don't like gunshots and bass rumbles cause them to thump at us.
          So say we all.

My rabbit doesn't seem to have any preference for music or take any notice of the tv. She dislikes really shrill stuff, some of the stuff in action flicks and some of my more dissonant electronica like aphex twin.

On eof my dogs hates anything with bass. When he was 2 he decided to be scared of the subwoofer. He even gets upset by the mere act of putting a DVD in the player.

Both dogs seem to like the piano. When I play, they tend to come over and lay down right next to it.
