  • got my first Tattoo

Here is my tattoo I got last Friday afternoon. This pic is right after removing the bandage.
So I go in there at 4pm - she shaves the area, puts on
the "decal" of the tattoo and we get all set to start.
    I'm thinking "this is cool!"
    Ummmmm.....nope!
JESUS H. CHRIST! This hurts! 2-4 minutes into this and I am thinking
"no way! this does NOT feel good" . " I've got 2 hours of this sh!t?"
"Am I gonna be the only
one who wimps out on their tattoo and runs out?" lol
So then I say to myself: "Trav and Zach (my sons) did it, I can do this ...."
yeah, right lol 5-10 minutes in ....I"m sweating like
I just got out of the Amazon rain forest! I'm sweating profusely
and she has to stop for about 7 minutes while I "recover".
After resuming, It got much better. After 1/2 hour, my wife shows
up and watches. No problem at all the last hour +.
Still felt like bee stings .... but I think your body gets used to it
    - or numbs to it a bit.

In hindsight, I love it! I'm probably too old for getting one (50's) ,
but you know what - I love it!

A friend said to me: "Hey, at least they can ID you now ......."
    I"m thinking "WTF?" - lol
I'm thinking more: "Now if I lose an arm while hanging it our my car window, at least
it can be ID'd and returned to me" lol
    -M

PS> I found this gal on myspace - I loved her work! Told her I wanted to have
the letters J,T,Z sort of "hidden" into a picture. I picked a dragon (Like em!)
and she came up with this design - if you want something custom, try her out-
she is great and really reasonable

First off congrats and it looks good. Secondly you are never too old to do anything you want. Hell I'm 43 and thinking of getting full sleeves done LOL

Nice tat. I like it when the tat means something.

I have to tell you that in the chair next to me was a young (24 -25ish)
man getting work done on his back. He had a "full sleeve" on
his left arm - Told me it took over 26 hrs ! lol

When I was done, the tattooist asked if I wanted some "flame'n" work
done -lol I thought she was serious, but only wanted me to think
about adding more later. Hmmm...... lol

:thanks 1: for the nice comments.

Hoping that others may post pics of theirs ..
maybe we need an official Tattoo thread - lol

My wife is pumped to get hers. Of course,
she made me go first. (good thing she wasn't
there the first 15 minutes -lol)
            -M

PS > mine was only supposed to be 3-4" or so,
but to keep the detail, it had to be larger.
Kind of like buying speakers - lol

Just tell her it's not very big around, but it sure is short! Use inflection to sell it as a positive :)

No, didn't worked for me. :crying:

This is one of my tats. Is it small enough? :tiny: In the '80's, this was called a "party dot". :animal house:

I was never a fan of tats, but I like that it means something, that you got your boys in the design.

                              But who's 'J'?
