  • HTC Phone and Gmail ?

Ok my wife has a HTC phone thru work and has her Gmail account setup on it.

When she deletes something off of there it still is in gmail thru the web.

Is there a setting somewhere that synchs the two up so that when she deletes stuff off the phone it is gone from gmal.com?

I'm not certain this is the issue, but I believe it is worth checking..

Go to you Gmail account on the web.

Click on "Settings" in the upper right had corner of the window.

Click the "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" tab on the Settings page.

In the "IMAP Access" section, see if "Enable IMAP" is selected. If it is, then I'm not helping. If it isn't, select it and then see if when she deletes a message from her phone, it deletes it from her web Gmail.

Here is why I suggested this:

"IMAP offers two-way communication between your web Gmail and your email client(s). This means when you log in to Gmail using a web browser, actions you perform on email clients and mobile devices (ex: putting mail in a 'work' folder) will instantly and automatically appear in Gmail (ex: it will already have a 'work' label on that email the next time you sign in)."
