How Can I Tell If A Car Is Stolen?

Guys, I have come across what may be one of those deals of a lifetime. So much so, that I am looking for any snakes that might be under the rocks. Everything is looking good, but I have to wonder if I am getting scammed and the car is stolen.

Any help will be appreciated. If this is legit, I will need to close the deal tomorrow.

Red and blue flashing lights in the rear view mirror along with funny siren sounds and PA system voices telling you to "Put your hand where I can see them" might be a good indicator.

If you have to touch two wires together hanging out of the steering column to start it ... it's probably stolen. :sly:
