Insidious Pac-Man woop-woop noise in Firefox

Today was the 30th anniversary of Pac Man. Google had a live masthead playing it with that incredibly annoying woop-woop noise.

At work today we couldn't turn that damned sound off anywhere on the page. Here at home when I launch Firefox browser and never even go to any page related tio any of that, my browser is playing that damned sound endlessly. [email protected]#$%^&

Anyone know why Firefox is doing this and how to stop it (besides turning all my sound off)?

My boss had this problem, it is the Cool Previews add-on that is causing the sound. If you disable it will stop and presumably tomorrow when google takes the pacman game down you can turn the addon back on.

Yeah - I found that out after my posting when Cool Previews released a new update that mentioned the Pac Man bug...
