What a great life he lived, and what an eloquent and poetic baseball announcer. There aren't too many who can bring you into the ballpark over the radio the way Ernie could.

His HOF induction speech gives me chills every time I listen to it. Brings me back to childhood summers spent on the diamond. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPcUcsT6Lek
