Once in a while a man has to make a non toy purchase... Our dishwasher has pretty well had it so we had a look at the store yesterday and came across a Blomberg model. It has the same features as the Bosch etc but for much less $$. They are new to North America so reviews are sparse. Blomberg is a German company that has been in business for a long time but it has been bought by Turks. Anyway, anyone have one?

The main complaint I've heard about German (ie Bosch) dishwashers is that they don't have a heated dry cycle, so the dishes come out wet at the end. It is supposed to save energy that way. Means you either have to wait for the dishes to drip dry or towel dry them. -
No Blomberg....but we have a Fisher Paykel and it is pretty quiet, energy efficient and the two drawer design makes it easy to do two people kitchen mess', along with big load.
Finnish or Sweddish or whatever madeComment

I bought the thing. I install dishwashers quite often and can say that the build quality of this thing , that I can see without taking it apart , is way beyond anything at the price point. And it washes dishes... so far so good.Comment
