  • Did anyone record episode I of HBO's The Pacific???

    If so, I would dearly love to get a copy. In fact, I'd be happy to pay for the discs if someone would record the entire series for me. I signed up on the web site and tried to watch episode I, but I guess my broadband isn't fast enough. :(

    Please let me know and thanks....

              You could rip it to your computer then burn a DVD from your computer.

                  )

                  I love that Directv is showing it on unedited on the 101....I don't have HBO but still get to watch this.

                  The 101 is one of my favorite channels. They show you stuff in advance, stuff from pay channels and the Concerts are awesome.

                  I recorded it I just have no way to get it to a DVD.

                          Have to say though... not enjoying it as much as the original BoB. They should have spent more time with the 1st Marine Division actually on the islands. Showing the Marine Parachutists would have been cool too!

                            Agreed. So far I've been disappointed and really was expecting much more last night out of part 2. The first 8 minutes or so were a rehash of Part 1, then it ended at 52 minutes. Even with the lead in, it felt like the review of the cast members and charcoal drawings was dragged out to fill in time.

                            Maybe BoB episodes were 52 minutes as well, but it's geared towards having commercial breaks with that time length. So far the character development to me is relatively flat.

                              I recognize it's a little harder (they are following 3 story lines instead of just 1) but there should have been more. The guy won the Medal for that fight. It could have been the entire episode frankly.
