While Steve Vai is a great guitarist, not sure how he can rule, when even the Karate Kid can beat him?

actually he beat himself, seeing how he is so good he can make people think the karate kid was playing that stuff ;)

Still think Craig is in the "Chase" for that sense of humour. :neener 1:

3 of my favoritve vai videos

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mDZuN...eature=channel ->when i saw this in 1998 i was shocked by it and it changed my view of guitar music.. up until this point i thought kirk hammet ruled the world of guitar (yeah i know, i was young and naive), though i at least had good taste in other musicians/music...

'nother good version of for the love of god: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9IrWyZ0KZuk

and last but not least tender surrender, the woman thinks this is sex music.. i agree :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yw74sDWPH7U

aww hell make it 4.. my introduction to drop tuning came from this song (at least in the sense of wanting to use drop tuning, heard other guys doing this stuff before but never really interested me until i heard this). *bad horsie*: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5BrE1Pi5cU (this song also inspired me to get a wah pedal and start playing around with other musical ways of expressing myself with the instrument, both vai and dime inspired me to learn how to use the whammy bar and vai also inspired me to learn to tap... petrucci inspired me to explore esoteric musical ideas though, and do so in a way that was also heavy and fast!)...

been a fan for along time and seen him play solo and a couple times with David Lee Roth and Billy Sheehan back in the day....

I will have to agree that he is a bad ass, but there is no denying his "cheesyness"! I love to get my 6 yo to do his Steve Vai "face", very funny.
Hopefully some TCA products in the near future!
