Hi all ... I received this PM earlier today, and asked the author to call me. The reason I wanted him to call is this gentleman wrote exactly what I want for our forum, and he said it in words that I was struggling for, and was unable to get.
He gave me permission to post his PM with the understanding that his name would not be used.
This, guys, is the blueprint for where we will be by the middle of this month.

Craig,
As a new member and very happy customer, I am surprised at the last week's collective set of e-mails. I know you are trying to manage this in the best way possible but perhaps you ought to consider that new customers such as myself are extremely put off by this discussion. It causes us to want to stay as far away as possible both socially and fiscally.
It seems that you may soon be in a position to either let your company live in the past or make a clean break and move forward. I would ask yourself which has the greatest number of customers over the next 5-10 years? I think the answer is obvious and you shouldn't worry about cutting off the discussion at some reasonable point.
I'd post this but don't intend to get flamed by the multiple scorchers out there who apparently have no business but to perpetuate negativity. Feel free to let others know the content of this PM if you feel it is helpful to getting things back on track. Just don't use my name so I don't get attacked.
And I will continue to participate for a while in the hope that the craziness will pass. What a mess...
More sincerely than you know,
XXXXX
