  • Ok, what kind of car is this??

So I went to Lowes to check out a couple things last night and I parked right by this 3 wheel car. I've seen it in town before but wasn't able to get a good look at it. There is no brand name, only a badge that is a giant G and the background is a picture of the globe. What is this??

Found it! I was trying to search on my phone last night and it was taking too long so I gave up. Its produced by Green Vehicles and its called the Triac: http://www.greenvehicles.com/

I think its kinda cool actually but at $25k its pretty pricey. I'd rather have the Aptera for around the same price and get a much longer range: http://www.aptera.com/

I was looking at the new Toyota Leaf all electric car, but probably not now with all the breaking issues they are having.

Makes sense for my fairly short commute to work.

Nissan makes those. So, you're good if that's what worries you.

No price yet announced on the Leaf, but says same price range as normal family sedan's. Now that is a range!

Noticed how the Nissan LEAF has no tailpipe. The vehicle is so quiet in idle that the rep said that they had to add a chime or sound similar during startup to when you boot a computer up to indicate that the vehicle is on . During their pilot test, people kept trying to start the vehicle because they didn't hear any crank noise.

They're planning to roll this out in selected market by end of this year.

As a three wheeled vehicle, it is a motorcycle in the eyes of the government, not a car, and is ony subject to the regulations (EPA, safety, etc.) for motorcycles.

Funky is a great term for them. I could definitely see those running around China or Japan. Not so much here in the US though, people here scoff at those kinds of cars.
