  • My misadventure with the camera today :)

After several months I got some time to take my camera out today. I couldn't really resist the temptation to try out the new 12-24mm lens I got few days back, even though the camera was almost ready to be shipped out to Nikon for general checkup and sensor cleaning etc.

The weather was quite cold and specially so near the lake. After a very short stay (less than 20 minutes) outside with freezing temperature and numb fingers, I decided to call it a day and came back home. I didn't really like results/pictures much. I was bored and perhaps had too much time on hand today, so I picked one picture, which wasn't very bad and ended with the following:

Not really any thing great, but for some strange reason, I liked some of these better than the original. :)

I like the second one best. It seems more ethereal.

BP - Send the camera in for cleaning, and get to work on your WHS box.

WHS2 is in testing, built on Server 2008.

Tell us how ya processed these.

BTW, when I saw the title of your post I was worried that you dropped your camera or lens. Glad you didn't.

Yeah. It will be on the way to Nikon soon. I don't have WHS, but I have started ripping my DVDs on Win7 desktop. It works quite well with the MC.

                  Thanks Mike.

Nothing much. I was just fooling around in CS4. Did a little tweaking with exposure and then added a layer with Gradient Map. That is pretty much it.

Camera is fine. As I told you in email, it was all packed and ready to be shipped out to Nikon. Just didn't get time to do it on Saturday, so come Sunday and I opened the box to try out 12-24mm lens. Just picked a wrong day. It was cold.

So here is what the picture looks like. Did some fixing in CS4 (hope it is not too much). :)

Wish I had a GND filter.

                        Kevin: Thanks.

I don't have ND filter. This was taken without that.
