OMFG!! WOW! WOW! WOW!
:applause::applause::applause::applause::applause:
I went to the midnight premier of Avatar last night shown in 3D. The 3D really draws you into the picture - you feel totally immersed. The cinematography is beyond words. Everything you've read about this film setting the new standard for movies is true. It is over whelming it is so good.
Some people trash the plot somewhat but I was totally engaged by it. This is the best 3D and the best Sci-Fi genre movie I've ever seen. EVER. This makes District 9 (coming out on DVD next week) look like an old Star Trek:TOS episode by comparison.
Run, do not walk, to your nearest theater showing it in 3D. Reports on Twitter for the IMAX 3D shows are even better. I have to find an IMAX that's showing it around here for my 2nd viewing.
6 months from now when this is released on Blu-ray, etc, it may not even be capapble of reproducing the theater experience I saw last night. I think I've been spoiled forever.
