As a Dolphin fan, it would help my team if the Pats lose this one, but other than as a way to potentially help my team, I have no real emotional investment in the outcome.

A good, competitive game would be nice to see as a viewer, though.

As a Dolphin fan I was aSaints fan for the night. But I was also hoping for a better game than the one sided affair we seen. The Saints have a great oppetunity to run the table now and go undefeated.

          damn, damn, damn.

          Looks like Brees/Saints are legit.

It was obvious after the first game that they were legit IMHO...the offense has plenty of talent and the defense is playing with fire. They have some holes, but so does Indy...and on any night, its hard to pick against either of those teams.

They're a really good football team, no doubt. To impose their will on the Pats the way they did was stunning. Brees has clearly moved to the elite level with Manning, Brady, etc. He's always been good, but Sean Payton and he are just diabolical together right now.

I don't know that I'd put Brady in the same category as Manning. Brady is a good QB in the right place at the right time, career-wise (surrounded by talent). Manning is sick...doesn't even matter if he talent around him, similar to Favre.

If anything, this game showed just how bad the Pats can be.

Perfect storm for the Pats - their big weakness this year is the secondary, and the Saints passing game ate that alive.

What impressed me was how well the Saints D played (particularly against the run) compared to the Indy D against the Pats.

I can't immediately recall a better looking football team than what I saw last night. They really looked unstoppable. I don't think anybody can beat 'em if they play like that.

It's wierd.... the Colts have been more "loaded" in years past. In 2004, the team set NFL scoring records with Manning breaking Dan Marino's touchdown record. The team in 2005 was probably one of the best Colts teams ever assembled, but failed to make the SB after resting everyone but the scrubs the final month of the season. 2006, obviously the Super Bowl year, wasn't as good a team as 2005 or possibly even 2004 IMHO. In 2007 and 2008 we once again had 12 - 4 records (winning the last 9 games in a row to finish out last year), but failed when things mattered in the play-offs.

This year, with a new head coach, a new defensive coordinator and a new special teams coach, a defense that's missed FOUR regular starters for most of the season (SS Bob Sanders - IR, CB Marlin Jackson - IR, CB Kelvin Hayden - missed all but one game so far and LB Tyjuan Hagler - IR) causing rookies to start on both CB positions and an undrafted F/A at SS and an ailing DL (Freeney out indefinately).... yet we are 11 - 0.... go figure.

Honestly, I keep saying that this team just isn't very good compared to other Colts teams of the past few years. But each week, I figure this will be the week the wheels fall off, yet they somehow pull out the win. Convincingly I might add on the road against Houston this past week. I don't understand it. Undrafted F/A and rookie CB's playing like pro bowl regulars, LB's flying around like banshees, no running game to speak of, PM throwing multiple interceptions on a regular basis, yet there they are with a chance to take the lead late in the fourth quarter. This team is just wierd. But I'm starting to really believe in them.... warts and all.

No Cinderella mentions at all with this team, no siree. More like Cave Trolls with a bad hair day. But I'll tell you what.... they will make Vince Young look like an all-star in the first half and shut him out in the second. I see it as the Colts winning on a late Matt Stover FG after PM helps them over come a 17 point deficit.

You'd think the Saint's fans could come up with something original. If they can't, fine.... they should keep their pie holes closed behind their brown paper bags they pass down generation to generation. Back in the mid 80's when the Bengals were decent and winning on a regular basis (even going to Super Bowls), you couldn't go anywhere in Cincinnati without hearing....

Who day.... who day.... who day think gonna beat dem Bengals?
