  • Static Noise in speakers

OK - I was packing up boxes for the big move and had my sb3 playing some music and out of nowhere all my speakers were making a static noise.

I tried unplugging somethings but nothing seems to help. Never had this happen before and the noise was going to all the speakers even though I had it in two channel.

    Setup:
    Ref 1.5s
    Ref 100s
    Elt DPAs
    EMO LMC1

I even unplugged all speakers but the front and there is still noise....

    Help.

If you turn off the LMC-1 does the noise still occur? If so, something happened to the power amp. If the noise stops, then it is something with the LMC-1 if all sources are off. Very unusual that all channels would make noise.

Is the LMC-1 doing the HT setup signals by chance?

I would put my money on your Emo LMC1. Your discription of the problem leads me to believe that something went wrong inside your Emo or sometype of external interference was introduced into your system.

I would try to change out the LMC1 with a receiver if possible and see if that corrects the problem.

      Good luck.

Looks like my left rear speaker cable got a tad loose at the speaker. seems to be OK now.

Glad it worked out for you and it didn't even cost a penny to fix. :clapper:
