Anyone opened up a iRobot to see if it is user serviceable? I want to pick one up, but understand they only last around two years. Just wondering if anyone has opened one up?

I think a buddy has one, and if it is still working, has had it for like 4yrs now. I will ask, and if they have problems, he is the kind of guy that has fixed it.Kevin

If your Roomba breaks can can most likely find step by step instructions on how to fix it.
My four year old Roomba ate a plastic toy, jammed and a mosfet fried. I tried to replace it but it is so tiny there is no way I could get it off of the board. Someone with experience soldering tiny component would probably have no issues.Comment
