  • Listed a car on Craigslist ...see this reply

Boy, I listed a car on craigslist yesterday

and received 3 emails within 1/2 hour of listing it. I responded to
two of the emails with a "call me at xxx-xxxx - first one to set up
    an appointment gets first crack".

here is one response I just received (via another email to me):

Thanks for your reply,Concerning my inquiry,Am quite comfortable with the condition of the item since i won't be making any repairs on it. I'm making an offer of $1400 and I will add $50 to it for keeping it for me, Please provide your full Name, Address your Phone number for payment.I am paying by Check. It will take few days for payment to get to you. As per pick-up, I will make arrange for the pick-up after payment has been received by you.I hope it is in good condition, kindly get back to me with your name, phone # and mailing address where payment will be sent.I will let you know how i intend to pick it up.I would have loved to come check it out but i am presently away on a business trip,so you can send me pics of the item so that i can know it is in good condition. I would appreciate it if you take the posting off CRAIGSLIST today and consider it sold to me.As for the pick-up,it would be handled after you receive your payment. Thanks. God Bless You.

His original email to me (yesterday) read:
"I'm interested in your item listed on craigslist and i will like to know if still available."

What do you think? Should I send him my name, address and bank routing number? lol

PS> the one that I didn't respond to came in as such:
I M INTERESTED FOR MAZDA TO BUY ,CALL ME AT 612 229 7856 ZORAN SERBIAN

Not a chance I would send him that info.... your setting yourself up for ID theft...

email and talk with the person. A theif wont do that....

Craigs list is FULL of ID theft trolls and scams....

tell him to pay pal the money as an alternative then you are not exposing anything except your email.

Would you buy speakers from him? If so, go ahead and give him whatever he needs. :p
