  • So what's new???

Well, I haven't been around very much the last few months so I'm curious, what's happened and what's going on now?

A little about what's gone on with me the last few months:

Laid off mid-April due to economy shrinking downsizing
Found a job and started June 1st in the same industry I was in, now making more money :D
Still patiently waiting for my X-Amps to come to power my Mini's and Voce
Ripping up my old flooring this weekend so I can put all new bamboo hardwoods down :clapper:

Other than that, just enjoying an OVERLY hot summer in Seattle. We've basically had 1 or 2 days where there has been any rain in the last 2 months and I am afraid to see my water bill this month! Not doing a whole lot with audio right now but would love to get back in and see what all the new hooplah is about. So fill me in, what's going on my friends???

Your friendly :no pics: originator and former butt kisser extraordinaire ...

Sure is nice to have you back. As to what's new, the audio world has been like a Mary Worth catoon strip lately ... :crying:

Thanks Randy! I have no idea what comic that would be so fill me in ... I take it by the crying that it's not a good thing, though and that maybe being gone was a good think :nervous:

Sorry, showing my age, nothing and I mean NOTHING ever happened in it.

The only real product news is that MFW-15 replacement amps have started shipping. A few LS-6 deliveries have been made. Some LS-9 mules have been spotted (did a couple get delivered? I stopped paying attention). Thank goodness for the good fellowship here or we would have all gone stir crazy.

            Welcome back Skeeter!

ONIX? What is this ONIX to which you speak? :scratchchin:

Good to hear from you again Skeeter. The only thing you have missed are Mark's missed deadlines and weekly sales celebrating past holidays (and events that never happen).

Glad to hear things are going well for you.

First, the flash-based interface is way too slow, especially on the initial view. I have a fast cable connection and almost steered away while waiting. I recommend something with less pizazz that loads faster.

Second, the music is incredibly annoying and even if you turn it off on one page, it starts up again when you load another.

Third, the text on your menus is way too small.

Not trying to bust you up, just offering suggestions from a potential customer.

I found the page to load pretty fast. Fast enough that I didn't notice any type of wait. Maybe a couple seconds.

I agree about the text. It is way too small. I have good eyesight and I was straining to read it.

Also, music is a personal choice and personally I hate it on websites. I agree that you should definitely let people shut it off for the entire site, not just page by page.

Besides that, I really like the design. It looks really nice.

Cool to hear Kevin! Didn't realize that you were a dealer too. I live about 40 minutes from MO so I know a few people on that side of the state line. Nice to know I can send them to you if they are ever looking.

I am assuming you are referring to my web site and if so, thanks for the feedback.

I have tested the site at 4 different locations and have not had any trouble with speed, but I will go ahead and revise it none the less.

It's my very first attempt at designing a site so there are going to be some glitches.

Ok, here are the revisions to my site.

                            No more music. Sorry Sean.
                            Allot less animation.
Where I could, larger description text.

                            I hope this helps.

Yeah, I talked about this with the main dude with the master plan about doing it myself but didn't feel it was the right time for me to do it. Glad to hear others hopped on board! It's great stuff :whoopie:
