Originally posted by basvenI hope this will show up ok in a post. Below is an outline of my living room in my current configuration. It works OK, but I am wondering if it would make sense to fish some wires and put one A5 and the subwoofer on either spot 1 or 2. Opinions on this?
Thanks in advance,

I don't like the idea of having either the A5 or the A2 that close to a corner. You're going to get high frequency bounces/reflections off that wall with anything but studio treatment (and little even then).
Are you willing to entertain the idea of moving the TV, the A5's/A2 to the short wall on the left side of the diagram, centered on the wall? You could keep your A1 in the lower right corner and put the other A1 where your current Right-Front A5 is now.
That is the easiest solution that I can see. There is no real way to enjoy that super-wide soundstage and wrap-around-stereo with any speaker that close to a side wall.
There's my $.02

I think Buford nailed it. Moving the entire set-up to the left wall is the best solution. I'd also suggest moving the couch a foot away from the wall (up in the diagram) and move the A1s so they are to your left and right when you sit on the vertical part (in the diagram) of the couch. Don't put them against the rightmost wall. Place them a few feet in front of the LP. They are surround speakers, not surround-back speakers.

Thanks for taking the time to respond; moving everything to the left would be the best solution but is unfortunately not going to happen because the wife thinks she has a say in it :D (and there is a fireplace on that side with build-in book shelves). The good news is that it is quite a large room (probably 35 by 25). I was wondering if, giving these restrictions, moving the subwoofer (or does its placement not really matter) and one of the A5s would help. My thinking is that if I move at least the FL A5, I can move the TV stand a bit more to the door and that would give me room to get that FR A5 out of the corner. Since that is a bit of work, I am wondering if it is worth the effort to do so.

Originally posted by basvenNo problem, just don't tell the wife I took pics before I cleaned up :-) And thanks for the help. Attached 3 different angles of the room to give you and idea.
I would move both A5's further out from the wall by at least 8-10 inches.
